Meet the Friendswood Team Behind Otto’s Garage Door

We’re not a franchise with a rotating cast of faces. The person who answers your call, drives the truck, and hands you the invoice all live and work right here in Friendswood and the surrounding county. Otto built this company in 2004 on a simple idea: the name on the van is the name on the license, and the person who quotes your job is the person who shows up to do it. What unites the crew is straightforward. We respect the equipment, we respect your time, and we don’t leave until the door runs right. Every one of us has stood in a driveway at 9 p.m. watching a spring let go, and every one of us knows exactly what to do about it.

Our People

Otto Reinhardt, Owner

Otto founded Otto’s Garage Door in 2004 and has been answering the phone himself ever since. He’s worked on every major brand you can name, LiftMaster, Chamberlain, Genie, Clopay, Amarr, Wayne Dalton, Craftsman, and Raynor, and he still quotes most jobs personally before the truck rolls. Otto counts spring cycles the way you count tire miles, and he’ll tell you honestly what’s left on yours. When he’s not under a door, he’s usually at the Friendswood hardware store or fishing Clear Creek on a rare day off. His rule for the whole crew is the same one he’s kept since day one: quote it on the call, hold it at the door, and stand behind it for ninety days in writing.

Marcus D., Lead Technician

Marcus has been with Otto’s Garage Door for eleven years and leads most of the residential repair work across Friendswood, League City, and the Pearland border. He’s certified on LiftMaster and Genie opener systems and specializes in torsion spring replacement, which is the job that separates careful techs from careless ones. Marcus is the guy who will walk a homeowner through what’s actually wrong before he touches a single bolt, and he keeps his truck stocked so tight that most repairs finish in one visit. Outside work, he restores old Ford pickups and coaches his son’s little league team. If Marcus tells you a track is warped from the Texas heat, he’s not making conversation. He’s telling you what he sees.

Rosa M., Senior Installer

Rosa joined the crew eight years ago and handles the bulk of our full door and opener installations across the county. She’s factory-trained on Clopay and Amarr product lines and has a sharp eye for the details that make a new door last, from seal alignment to balance testing under load. Rosa is patient by nature, which is exactly what you want when a homeowner has questions about panel options, insulation, or why an old opener keeps straining. She’ll talk you through the whole process without making you feel rushed. When she’s not hanging doors, Rosa is active in her church’s facilities ministry and tends a vegetable garden that her neighbors openly envy. Her installs are measured twice and scheduled properly, and the price is written down before she ever starts.

Tyler C., Service Coordinator and Apprentice Installer

Tyler is usually the first voice you hear when you call Otto’s Garage Door, and he’s been answering the phone around the clock since he came aboard four years ago. He started as an apprentice and still rides along on service calls, which matters because he can describe what’s happening with your door without inventing details or putting you on hold. Tyler handles scheduling, parts ordering, and keeps the truck inventory honest, and he’s working through his certification hours on opener systems as he learns the trade from Marcus and Rosa. He grew up in Friendswood, graduated from Friendswood High, and knows the side streets well enough to tell you exactly how far out the truck is. If you call at midnight, Tyler answers, and he’ll get you squared away.

One Standard, Every Job

Every person on this crew works by the same rules Otto set down in 2004, whether the job is a broken spring in Friendswood, a new opener in Webster, or an emergency in League City. We show up on time with background-checked, uniformed people who carry the owner’s name on their backs, literally and figuratively. We quote the price before the work starts and we do not revise it upward at the door. We stand behind every job in writing with the 90-Day Done Right Promise, and if something isn’t right, one call brings Otto himself back, no phone queue, no runaround. A garage door is 200 pounds riding on two springs. We respect it, and we respect the family that lives behind it. That’s the standard, and nobody here gets to slide under it.
